

Bi-Polar Ionization
ECO FRESH AIR is a bi-polar ionization system. It reproduces mountain elevation ion levels indoor in the passenger cabin and driver’s cockpit. This is done by increasing the quantity of oxygen ions to “Fresh Air” levels.
Oxygen molecules can once again become active and therefore improve indoor air quality.
Unlike electrostatic precipitation, which requires particulates to pass the electrodes to capture them, bi-polar ionization technology generates both negative and positive ions when electricity is applied to a special tube with two electrodes, releasing these ions into the room to capture contaminants right where they are. Furthermore, very little to no residual ozone is produced in the ionization process.

ECO FRESH AIR is almost maintenance free. Lamps have a lifespan of 8 to 10 years and only need to be cleaned every 6 months. The system lifespan is 20+ years.
Positive side effects on bus maintenance costs are the reduction of mold formation within the bus (ceiling) without application of any chemicals and a longer lifecycle of interior.
Reduced costs of maintenance (e.g. cleaning of ceiling, no chemicals or filters) increase economies and reduce CO2 emissions.
